A Good Move

Well, the time has come to give up our newlywed apartment and move on to... cheaper and smaller things! Although we could afford to continue to live in this beautiful neighborhood, we have been prompted (partly by God, partly by super-cheap rent) to move to Orem, where we will be closer to work, school and my mom, who babysits Zoey while I'm at school. This move will enable us to follow the prophet's counsel to get out of debt, as well as to save up for a house in the future.

As tempting as it is to jump on the bandwagon and take advantage of the low interest rates and buy a house that we can't afford, like so many of our peers, we've decided to wait it out and live humbly for a few more years. With frugality and the continued blessings of the law of tithing, we will be able to save up a nice down payment and reduce the debt we will incur of necessity for our own house.

I worry a little about how the move will affect Zoey, whether or not we will be able to feel as safe there, and all the hassle of moving during a school semester. But as always, I know that when we follow the promptings of the Lord, He will provide a way for things to work for our benefit. Isn't the gospel great?!
